Did you know that American people drink about 40% more water than 15 years ago? It is a positive statistic showing that people know how important to be hydrated. And instead of drinking soda, they turn slowly to the good old water.
But how much water do we drink daily? An average person consumes about 2.5 glasses that is far less than the recommended 8 glasses of water. That means most of us still prefer drinking various beverages instead of pure water.
In my opinion, the best way to be hydrated is to consume fresh water. There are so-called healthy drinks on the shelves of the shops, but all of them hold some unwanted components, such as artificial flavors or sugar that are surely not healthy at all.
Drinking enough water each day is critical for good health. Dehydration is one of the leading causes of many physical and even mental problems.
The following infographic shows what it does to the human body.
