It has been proved by several studies that GMO foods have several negative impact on our health. Big companies using this harmful technology want us to believe there is no problem with it, but you must be careful. They do not care about your health just the profit they can make. Their aim is to produce more and more to stuff their pockets with money.
Unfortunately, no matter what you want to buy genetically modified foods are everywhere. It is hard to avoid them. The good thing is that in more and more states and countries GM foods are banned, or at least they should be labeled. Hence, you have the chance to avoid them.
What is GMO
I’m not a scientist, but GMOs mean plants and animals that are created by merging the DNA of different spices. This way this biotechnology produces animals and plants that are not natural. With the “help” of this technology, they can get a higher amount of crops, more meat and so on. However, several studies have revealed that this is not true at all in the long term and it can cause irreparable harm to the environment.

What Illnesses They Cause
There is no question that these types of foods are responsible for many diseases of our era such as cancer and allergy. But there are so many things we do not know about the effects of genetically modified foods and this is the biggest problem.
The Academy reported that “Several animal studies indicate serious health risks associated with GM food,” including infertility, immune problems, accelerated aging, faulty insulin regulation, and changes in major organs and the gastrointestinal system. The AAEM asked physicians to advise patients to avoid GM foods.

As I mentioned before GMO is almost everywhere, but there are some top foods. These are sugar beets, soy, corn, cotton, papayas, dairy, canola, tomatoes, potatoes, meats of animals consuming GMO or created by this technology such as pork and kettle and honey.
What to Buy Instead
You should turn to organic products and buy your veggies, fruits, dairy and meat from farmers who avoid this technology. You should pay attention to the food labels. Also, consider growing your organic garden if you live in the country.
