How do you know the optimal level of your heart rate?
First, calculate your maximum which is 220 minus your age. So if you are 30, then your maximum is about 190. Depending on your fitness level your optimal heart rate while working out is between 50-85%
- If you are a beginner, it should be between 50-65%
- If you are at an intermediate level, it is between 60-75%
- And if you are a pro, then you can go as up to 85%.
