To tell the truth, I’m a great fan of calisthenics, though it is not the only workout type I do for strength training. I started doing bodyweight exercises about 18 month ago and the trigger because of I started this type of workout was the videos I saw on Youtube.
I used to pump iron, but I wanted to start something different. But before jumping into this new “lifestyle” I wanted to learn everything about it. I read and watched the videos about how to do the exercises and what are the advantages of them.
There are a few men who inspired me more than the others, and I have learned a lot from them. In this post, I list them all. If you are a beginner, follow them! You can learn a lot from them and believe me you will be always motivated.
He is maybe the most popular guy in the world of calisthenics. He has unbelievable strength, and he can do incredible moves. On his website and Youtube channel he shares a lot of useful information related to bodyweight training. He has even written a book for beginners.
Adam Raw is a Czech guy, and he is famous for his incredible power. He can do pull ups and dips with extra 90 kilos. On his Youtube channel and website he usually shares useful workouts and other nutritional tips. Unfortunately, his website is not available in English yet.
He is the founder of Calisthenics Kingz. He has made several very useful instructional videos and now we can purchase a complete DVD set to learn everything. On the official Calisthenics Kingz channel, you can find a lot of useful motivational and tutorials for free.
These guys have excellent tutorials for everyone. On their Youtube channel, they usually share various videos and on their blog you can also find great articles.
He is one of my favorite trainers not just because he shares very useful things, but mainly because of his mentality. He has written two great books: Rising the Bar and Pushing the Limits. You can find tons of useful information on his channel and website.
They are also my icons. Unfortunately, they have not been updated their Youtube channel lately.
Last, but not list I would like to introduce you Pavel Rudometkin, a Russian guy who now lives in the USA. In my opinion, he is the best teacher among all the guys mentioned here. His website, Youtube channel and Facebook page are stuffed with useful info of all kind.
This guy is amazing! He does many types of workouts, not just calisthenics. His videos are really inspiring and he has several great tutorials as well.
Who is the winner for me?
For learning Pavel and Kavadlo, for inspiration Adam Raw.
