Proper nutrition is essential if you want to have a healthy lifestyle. However, always thinking about if we eat correctly can be a bit frustrating. There are so many suggestions and diet tips out there.

Do you eat fruits at least once day?

Consuming fruits is essential for healthy nutrition. They contain several vitamins and minerals. Most of them are high in fiber which has many advantages for the digestive system and helps to have the feeling that you are satisfied. Taking in enough fiber is crucial if you want to lose weight.

Eat fruits at least twice a day. I prefer to eat in the morning and afternoon. Pick the ones you like, but the more types you consume the better.

Do you eat veggies?

Similar to fruits veggies are vital for healthy eating. They also contain a lot of vitamins, minerals as well as fiber. The best would be to eat them raw, but if you boil them it is as good. Include veggies in your meals as many as you can. For example, eating lean meat with salad, put more tomatoes into your sandwiches etc.

By the way, I used to have chips for watching movies. You know, it is so satisfying to crunch something. Nowadays, I eat carrots, the activity is the same, but it is much more healthy.

There are so many pills, drinks and processed foods, which we can get to take in vitamins and minerals. They are helpful, but the optimal way is to eat healthily. I know, it is hard, but do not think that multivitamins can replace a healthy nutrition.

You may think that you do everything to eat properly, but the blood test is what can certainly tell you if everything is OK or not.

Me and my wife try to have a wide variety of foods. During my last blood test, I got the result that I need to take in more iron. Iron is crucial for hemoglobin generation, for energy and good organ and muscle function. The lack of iron comes from that I train really hard at least 4 times a week so simply the quantity of the iron I take in was not enough. Since then, I eat more iron rich foods such as spinach and liver. I hope my next test will be right.

All in all, make a blood test regularly, and if you have some deficiencies, change your eating habits.

Do you eat enough protein?

It is simple to take in carbohydrates and fat since most of the meals we consume daily are full of these components. But, you need to look after your protein intake. Protein is needed for muscle tissue building and takes part in various biological processes in our body. Taking in more protein helps to build muscles and even with weight loss as protein rich foods fill us more.
